VICKI MACDERMID

Vicki Macdermid is an Executive Leadership Coach, Chartered and CPA qualified Accountant with an extensive history of working in professional services, including as a partner at Pitcher Partners (a member firm of the global Baker Tilly Network).

She is the creator of The Power Quotient®, a model for mapping individual, team and organisational potential.

In her career, Vicki has observed all manner of leadership styles and behaviours - both effective and ineffective. She’s also been a successful leader. In her observation, ‘natural born’ leaders are rare, but with the right guidance and coaching, she believes many of us have it within us to be outstanding leaders.

Noted by many for having a ‘natural coaching style’, Vicki’s approach to coaching is sensitive yet firm. She is a master at observing and ‘seeing’ an individual’s strengths and weaknesses. She takes her clients from the darkness of self-doubt into the light of potential.

While completing an Applied Masters of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, her acumen for identifying connections between seemingly disparate concepts was recognised by the likes of distinguished academics Professor Murray Gillin and Associate Professor Andy Aylesworth.

In 2014 she released a research paper, “What Horses Teach Us About Leadership” which has led to the development of EQiLead, an innovative Leadership Program building Emotional Intelligence and developing High Performing Teams.  These valuable learnings are incorporated into The Power Quotient® Leadership Coaching program.

An accomplished speaker and presenter, from tax conferences to the TEDx stage, Vicki brings a truly unique perspective to personal development and organisational growth. Among her many professional achievements, Vicki was the first woman promoted to partner at Pitcher Partners and has been the longest serving female partner at the firm.

A powerful advocate for women in leadership, she has a strong track record of helping professional women as well as younger women from disadvantaged backgrounds find and nurture their inner strengths and leadership potential.

With 40 years of experience working in complex environments, solving challenging problems and working with tough people, Vicki understands what is required to be an active and effective leader. She feels privileged to bring her expertise and knowledge to those who are seeking to tap into their leadership potential.
